Libertarian Party of Queensland

Lachlan Lade

Lachlan Lade is a 28-year-old from a farm in Proserpine Queensland and has actively engaged in Australian politics since joining the Liberal National Party (LNP) at the age of 16.

A farm boy who thrived in the school ‘system’, School Captain, Band Captain, Debate team, and top performer in all his subjects, he initially followed a traditional path studying Biotechnology at the University of Queensland.

However, Lachlan to the surprise of many, decided to leave University in his first year to pursue an alternative career path. He instead pursued a career in business and sales, whilst also receiving acting opportunities in a number of major films (eg. Aquaman, Godzilla vs King Kong & Elvis).

His five years in sales gave him the opportunity to travel the major cities of Australia, building independence in self-employment. In fact, since leaving university Lachlan has been self-employed for all but eight months of his adult life.

The additional mentorship Lachlan gained under gentlemen who fled communism in Hungary and Vietnam passed on values and a mindset to conquer any challenge.

During this time, Lachlan also became involved in the developments taking place in blockchain. This has since become Lachlan’s industry; he has subsequently succeeded in identifying disruptive, innovative blockchain technology, founding and running his own blockchain cybersecurity business and maintaining a successful record of investment.

Through this diverse career path, Lachlan has gained a wealth of financial experience, political connections and understanding of innovative technology.

Lachlan left the LNP and joined the Libertarian Party in 2024 as he felt that they better reflected his own values and outlook on life.

Whilst Lachlan has not yet reached 30, he brings his business experience and a high level of energy and passion to politics. You may have come across his opinions passionately shared online under the moniker “Dunder Viking”

Lachlan is excited to share his thoughts and experience with other young people and believes that they should be involved in the political system and contest of ideas.
