Michael Pucci – Candidate for Jordan
Michael is a community minded local family man who has lived in the local area since 2003.
Michael has a very wide range of professional development, training and skills. He served on active duty in the U.S. Marines for 20 years in billets from Security Forces, Recruiting, Inspector-Instructor Duty and Administration & Logistics, including duty in the area of combat operations during the Gulf War.
His duties in civilian business range from an accounts manager to Executive Manager of a company with over 200 employees providing multi-millions of dollars in turnover each year.
After his 20 years of military service and 11 years in the business industry, he served his community as a Member of the Queensland Parliament / Legislative Assembly as the Member for Logan. Since then, his local state electorate has been changed and it is now Jordan.
Michael as very successful as a National Contracts Manager and an Executive Manager of a long time, successful company that provides facilities management, cleaning, security and training to clients across the state of Queensland, including the local and state governments, industrial and commercial clients.
A few achievements accomplished while Michael was Member for Logan include:
QLD lead the economy in the nation creating jobs at 3X the rate of any other state and over the past year there has been more jobs created in Qld than any other state in the nation.

Michael’s Track Record previously as MLA for Logan
In only two years after Michael was elected, the following items were delivered to Logan:
– shorter hospital waiting times,
– more police on the beat,
– better performing schools,
– more reliable and frequent public transportation, and
– nearly 3 quarters of a million in funding/grants to sporting clubs and community organizations, just to name a few.
The Logan Hospital overall satisfaction rate rose to 92%, and was trending towards 100%.
The hospital received $145 million in capital works funding to upgrade the emergency department, the rehabilitation and paediatrics units and the Day surgery unit.
Logan received approximately 150 more police officers on the beat, over and above what was scheduled to be assigned previously along with more resources to perform their duties.
Logan schools received over $15 million of funding (compared to a pittance in the past) for everything from capital works and backlogged maintenance to literacy and numeracy programs. Also delivered was additional prep teacher aid hours, a school based police officer, e-tablets for students and laptops of teachers.
During Michael’s time as MP for Logan, the frequency of buses from Jimboomba and Park Ridge to Browns Plains virtually tripped, and he also delivered a $10 million dollar upgrade to the Grand Plaza Bus Interchange that includes a kiss n’ ride, CCTV cameras and a facility to top up Go cards.
More clubs and community organizations received funding at the grass roots level with clubs like the Park Ridge Pirates receiving nearly $150,000 and the Panthers receiving $100,000.00 and the Logan Village Pony Club receiving over $76,000.00. Many other clubs have received between $5,000 to $50,000.
After 20 years of Labor chaos, waste and mismanagement, Michael helped get Logan back on track.
Many of the improvements the community has now are a direct result of Michael’s representation.
